Day One
2009
August 05
Steve Olsen

Today is the first day the mission team will go into the village of San Pedro de Columbia. There they will conduct Vacation Bible School for the children in the morning. The lessons and crafts communicate God's great story of redemption throughout the Scriptures, especially that salvation is offered through Jesus. This afternoon the mission team will go through the village visiting homes and people to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This morning pray...

  • that many familes will allow their children to come to VBS
  • the power of God's Word to change the lives of children and adults
  • the mission team would be flexible where needed (not everything goes as planned)
  • open doors this afternoon for people to listen to the gospel of Jesus

At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison-  that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.  (Col 4:3-4 ESV)
