The Evangelism & Missions Committee has chosen to partner with Bob Farley, a missionary in southern Belize, for the next two years. Our goal is to work alongside Bob and his family to spread the gospel and bring souls to know Christ, to equip lay workers, and to disciple the people in spiritual growth.

God called Brother Bob Farley and Rhonda to Belize some 10 years ago and through their faithful obedience God is reaping a mighty harvest. In August 2009 a team from First Baptist served with the Farley's on a church sponsored mission trip. Backyard Bible clubs were held for children; in home family visits were made; and worship was held for the community. The Holy Spirit touched 42 souls and added to the Kingdom of Christ.

A second trip is being planned for early August 2010 and similar events will be organized. The goal for this second trip is to re-visit families and continue the discipleship of those 42 lives, as well as share the gospel in other villages. In addition to the evangelism efforts, relationships are being built and construction will begin on facilities to further provide for this remote jungle area.
